Coworkers Celebrated for Showing “Acts of Humankindness”
Congratulations Katharine Lowe, RN, Amber Thomas, patient services and Rachel Davis, RN, for being awarded the Acts of Humankindness Award recently.
This CommonSpirit award recognizes coworkers across the organization who symbolize humankindness and actions go well beyond the norm of compassion or service to humanity.
Dr. Patel nominated these Heart Clinic Arkansas coworkers because of their expert care given to a patient.
There was a patient who came into the clinic for a routine visit, but had been having significant issues. They said they had gone to a local hospital, but was eventually sent home with no resolution.
Rachel, Kat and Amber helped expedite some emergent testing for this patient.
“Although our team does not normally schedule such tests, they made sure she was scheduled for the needed procedure. While undergoing the test, the patient experienced significant complications. The patient was transported to the Emergency Department for prompt treatment.”
Because of their actions, this patient was able to get the care they needed in a timely manner and potentially save their life.
“We are so blessed to have coworkers who daily go above and beyond for our patients. Congratulations Kat, Amber and Rachel!!”
