Per CommonSpirit Health policy employees are required to receive the flu vaccine or submit a personal declination for the flu vaccine by Dec. 1, 2022.

To help reduce influenza infection rates and prevent negative outcomes, flu vaccination is highly recommended for most people. The benefits of flu vaccination include a reduced risk of infection, severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Pregnant people and anyone with a chronic disease have a greater risk of flu complications if contracted, and vaccination protects these populations.
