Hot Springs Doctor Wins Best Poster Abstract

Congratulations to Dr. Akaz John, PGY-2 resident in Hot Springs, on winning the award for Best Poster Abstract at the Arkansas Medical Society’s Annual Meeting! Dr. John’s poster was titled “Turn Team Takes on the Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries/Present on Admission Injuries – The HAPI/PAPI Challenge.”

Dr. John was the presenter for the project, which featured a collaboration with several CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs providers. Included on the team was Hannah Williams, BSN, RN; Dr. Hamna Naseem, PGY-1 resident; Dr. Fahran Tariq, PGY-1 resident; Dr. Ihuoama Ogbuokiri, PGY-1 resident; Dr. John Mark Pabona, residency research director; and Dr. Ashley Jenkins, internal medicine program director.
