Hot Springs Resident Matches with Endocrinology at LSU-Shreveport

Congratulations B. Britt Schrock, DO, PGY-3 for being accepted into the Endocrinology Fellowship at LSU-Shreveport!

Before medical school, Dr. Schrock did IT work and clinical laboratory science. He said medical science became a passion for him over time, leading him to pursue training as a physician.

He chose CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs as his residency because his family vacationed in the Spa City when he was younger.

“I remembered it fondly. Meeting our faculty in interviews further convinced me to rank our program. I have met some wonderful attendees and colleagues that have made lasting impressions on how I view the practice of medicine,” said Dr. Schrock.

Dr. Schrock said he’s been highly interested in endocrine physiology since training in laboratory science. He’s excited to begin his fellowship in Summer 2024.

After his fellowship, he’s considering joining faculty, private practice, or multiple disciplinary group.

If any medical students or residents are considering a fellowship, Dr. Schrock offers this advice.

“Always keep an open mind as you do different rotations. Always keep your eyes open for situations that demonstrate your interest in your field down the road. The time to apply will come very quickly and demonstrating a steady interest on your application/resume will go far,” said Dr. Schrock.
