Jade Pennington Recognized with Hot Springs Daisy Award
Jade Pennington was recognized with a Hot Springs DAISY Award for the care she provided to new parents after a difficult birth.
“This nurse was amazing! We had a little bit of a difficult stay since our baby ultimately got transferred to Children’s Hospital. The nurse was great throughout the entire process. She advocated for me to be able to get my Foley out and be able to get up to go see my baby in the nursery.
“She was also a vital part of me getting discharged early so we could go see our baby at Children’s. We are forever grateful for the care this nurse provided us.“
The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
