Matt Oliver Recognized with Honey Bee Award

Matt Oliver, a patient tech in the ED at North, is the latest recipient of the Honey Bee Award. The award recognizes an outstanding non-licensed nursing care team member (PCT, MHT).

Matt came to the aid of a special needs patient who needed a scan. Matt was very reassuring and stayed with her throughout the process; the scan would not have been completed without Matt’s compassion for the patient. When the CT was completed, the patient was so happy she asked if Matt would take a picture of the two of them. 

The Honey Bee Award is awarded to non-licensed nursing care team members who go above and beyond their normal duties, inspire others in a positive manner, are excellent team members and demonstrate our core values of Integrity, Inclusion, Compassion, Collaboration and Excellence.
