Meet Certified Nurse: Rob Chastain

robchastainThe Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is specific to emergency nursing and measures the attainment of a defined body of nursing knowledge pertinent to that specialty. Currently, more than 30,000 nurses hold the CEN certification, and now CHI St. Vincent’s Rob Chastain is one of them.

Rob Chastain, BS RN CEN NREMT-P, is a RN in the Emergency Department at CHI St. Vincent North. Rob has been a paramedic instructor for 25 years. He has also worked as a firefighter and as a flight paramedic. For Rob, attaining certification has helped him gain new knowledge and provide a higher level of patient care.
