North Dietitian Shares Personal Cell Phone with Patient to Call Family Members

Congratulations Reagan Wade, Dietitian, for being named a North Service Hero!

Reagan was nominated by a coworker for the humankindness she shared with a patient.

The patient didn’t have her hearing aids with her so she was unable to use the phone in her room to call her family. Reagan used her personal cell phone to call everyone the patient wanted to talk to, and put it on speaker so the patient was able to hear.

She also got the patient some paper to write a letter to a family member that’s incarcerated so they’d know about her situation. Reagan mailed the letter for the patient.

These are just a few examples of the humankindness Reagan shares, but the coworker who nominated her said she “does this kind of thing every single day for the patients and even the nurses.”

“She deserves to be recognized for all the good deeds, amazing love and kindness she shows to each patient everyday.”
