North PCA Honored for Helping Outside His Unit

Congratulations go to Ponciano de la Cruz, PCA at North, on receiving the Honeybee Award! This award goes to patient care and mental health technicians who go above and beyond in their duties. A coworker from a different unit was in need of help when they came across Ponciano. Here’s what the coworker had to say in their nomination:

“Pons is an absolute wonderful team player. Last week I needed help on 3S quickly moving a patient down to 2S. I saw Pons in the hallway on 3N and he didn’t hesitate to jump in and help me transport the patient. He did it with a smile, helping grab the oxygen tank and patient belongings. On the way back I was profusely thanking him for his help. His response was “of course anytime”. He didn’t even blink to help out with a patient on a different unit when he didn’t have to. Thank you so much. I appreciate you!”

Thank you, Ponciano, for being a team player, even when a coworker on another team is in need of help! We appreciate your helpful spirit.

The Honeybee Award is given after nominations from patients, families and coworkers. If you know of a patient care or mental health tech who is worthy of recognition, you can nominate them by clicking this link and submitting the nomination form.
