Officials Celebrate Nurse Practitioners Week

State and local officials celebrated National Nurse Practitioners Week Nov. 8-14.

Wanda Lusk, an APRN on 4N at the Infirmary, is a founder and board member of the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association. The ANPA met with leaders in the state to promote the importance of nurse practitioners in the medical field.

Gov. Hutchinson signed a proclamation declaring Nurse Practitioner Week in Arkansas. Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith and Maumelle Mayor Caleb Norris signed similar proclamations for their cities.
