Pamela Jones, a patient care tech in Hot Springs, was recognized as a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION.
Pamela was nominated by a coworker for the kindness she showed a recent patient.
Pam always comes to the waiting room just before closing to check on family members and friends and let them know she will get an update on their patient.
One day, as Pam made her usual rounds, she saw a diabetic patient who was waiting on her ride home. The patient felt faint and needed food, but the cafeteria was closed and the vending machines were not working.
“Pam not only brought snacks and drinks. She sat with the lady for a few minutes and talked with her. It was very sweet and compassionate.”
