Stay Warm with Baked Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients:

  • 12 apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. allspice
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar

Directions: 

  1. In large skillet, add apples and butter, over medium-high heat. Stir until butter is melted and apples are coated.
  2. In bowl, mix apple juice, honey, cinnamon, allspice and salt. Add to skillet with apples. Stir apples until covered with sauce. Cover with a lid and simmer on medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove lid and stir. Simmer on low until sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in apple cider vinegar and serve hot.
