Tyler Sena’s Two Nominations Earn Him a DAISY Award
Congratulations Tyler Sena, RN, for being named a DAISY Award winner!
Tyler works in the SICU in Hot Springs and was nominated by two visitors for the award.
The first nomination came from the son of a patient staying in the ICU. Multiple times the visitor called Tyler ‘super.’ He was described as being helpful, knowledgeable and exceptional.
“Always had a smile all the time and a great sense of humor. He took excellent care of our dad and seemed to really care about him and did his best to make him comfortable and recover. Tyler knows his job well, excellent bedside manner, knows how to give shots without hurting the patient. I just can’t say enough good things about Tyler.”
The visitor said if they have to come back to the hospital, they’d want Tyler to be their nurse.
The second nomination also came from a visitor with their dad in the hospital. This visitor said their dad came to the ED with what they believed to be dehydration or an UTI, but they found out it was a large, slow-filling hematoma.
Their dad was moved to the ICU and greeted by a familiar face, Tyler. He had been their nurse when their dad had a stroke last year. They were so pleased that Tyler even remembered them.
“Tyler is an excellent nurse and attended dad very well. He took great care to limit pain and continued to laugh at the same stories dad told over and over.”
Tyler is a recent graduate of our RNRP program and has already made such a huge impact in a short time period as a nurse!
