Welcome Dr. Thurston Bauer to Little Rock

Dr. Thurston Bauer is continuing the family tradition…literally. Dr. Bauer recently joined the team at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, where his father, Dr. Mike Bauer, and uncle, Dr. David Bauer, also practice medicine.

The legacy began with Thurston’s grandfather, Dr. Frank Bauer, Jr. and his mother and stepfather, Drs. Mary and Bob Searcy.

Dr. Bauer serves patients at the CHI St. Vincent Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic. In addition to adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery, Dr. Bauer will be working with Dr. Muhammad Waqas to build an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) program. This program is for patients in advanced heart failure who are not responding well to medical therapy.

Now that he has completed his residency, Dr. Bauer is looking forward to getting back into his hobbies: golf, hunting, sporting clays and cycling. And, most importantly, cheering on the Razorbacks!
