CHI St. Vincent Coworkers Spread Humankindness at Warming Shelter

Several CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs coworkers braved the cold temperatures earlier this week to provide care and compassion for the unhoused at a Hot Springs Community Resource Center Clinic warming shelter, coordinated by Cooperative Christian Ministries (CCMC). Drs. Randy Hill and David Slay worked with other physicians to set up the clinic and recruit volunteer area nurses.

CHI St. Vincent nurses Sarah Duran, Cheyenne Walker, Christine LaFleur and Traci Spencer were among the community volunteers who gave their time and expertise to care for those who took shelter there during the bitter cold weather. St. Vincent also donated shelter supplies.

CCMC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fulfills its mission by focusing on three areas of human need: charitable health care, advocacy outreach and poverty disruption programs. They are always in need of licensed health care professionals to serve patients in their charitable clinic. For more information, visit https://ccmchs.org

Thank you to our physicians and nurses for sharing humankindness in their community!
