Hot Springs Celebrates Nurses Who Completed Clinical Ladder

Hot Springs celebrated the latest group of nurses to complete their Clinical Ladder.

More than 70 nurses attended a celebration breakfast.

The clinical ladder is a structured system to provide nurses’ career advancement while remaining in the clinical setting, providing direct patient care. It is used to recognize professional development and differentiates levels of nursing expertise and contribution.

Sixty-nine portfolios were submitted for clinical ladder consideration–a 44% increase in participation since 2018 and a 188% percent increase since the program began in 2017.

During the breakfast, Anna Coble, ICU RN, and Lisa Stanfield, PAT RN, shared their work around Bright Spot Recognition.

Mike Long, BSN, RN, CNML, Heart Center nurse manager, won the nurse manager door prize for highest percent of participation.
