Hot Springs Leaderships Celebrates Christmas with Coats for Kids
Recently, the Hot Springs leadership team met for a day of fun – bowling, food, prizes, and more! They also each brought a coat and/or hoodie for the youth at Ouachita Children’s Center.
The Center has services like a Children’s Center, Youth Center, Family Center, Adult Homeless Reduction Program, and prevention services. The center serves as an emergency shelter and respite care for youth in crisis. Because of the good work of the organization and the generosity of the community, thousands of youth and families have received the resources they need to secure a more hopeful future.
The youth served at the center are often craving affection, attention, and concern.
“I imagine, by offering them each a coat that act of kindness provided not only physical warmth but emotional warmth, too, in knowing someone cares,” said Mandy Davis, Community Outreach Director.
