Infirmary 2NW Team Donates Coats for Youth at Immerse Arkansas

Infirmary coworkers on 2NW know what humankindness is all about!

Aliyah Smith, Nurse Manager on 2NW, rallied her team to meet a community need – coats for kids!

Immerse Arkansas provides youth in Arkansas that are facing abuse, neglect, and trauma respite through their youth center, transitional program, and their first of its kind emergency shelter, The Station, launching in 2024.

Did you know that more than 200 youth in the foster care system will age out each year? 1 in 3 kids who are waiting for adoption are 14-year-old and older? Did you know that over 1,000 youth are homeless in Central Arkansas alone? Caring for some of the most vulnerable youth in the state is what Immerse Arkansas does and why they’re so special!

“I am really proud of Aliyah and her team on 2NW because when asked to help they just said ‘yes.’ It was heartwarming to deliver the coats last night and see some of the youth’s faces light up,” said Mandy Davis, Community Outreach Director.
