Ingram Is December’s Shining S.T.A.R.

Karen2Patient Care Technician Karen Ingram has been named a winner of the December Shining  S.T.A.R. Award at CHI St. Vincent.

The award is presented to a non-licensed nursing care team member who goes above and beyond the call of duty and is the kind of person that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model.

Ingram was nominated by Alan Heath, BSN RN, who is the Patient Care Coordinator on 2 Northwest Cardiovascular at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary.

“She illustrates every core value that CHI St. Vincent has, as far as Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence,” Heath said. “She is a great employee. She has a great sense of humor and is very witty. She’s great to work with and has a great work ethic. She treats everyone like she wants to be treated.

“ I’ve worked with her more than five years. I never have to worry about my patients when she’s with them and taking care of them. She gives 110 percent. All of her patients love her, the staff loves her.”

S.T.A.R. stands for Superior Teamwork Achieved by Relationships. The award is presented quarterly. For more information, contact the Human Resources Training Coordinator at 501-552-3672.
