Sometimes we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the world, and holiday time can be extra chaotic, but Madison King didn’t let that prevent her from paying attention to the needs of her patients and working tirelessly to make sure they have what they need. Here’s just a clip from her nomination:
A patient was discharged from our hospital and the caregiver was trying to get help with obtaining a wheelchair that had footrests and a bedside commode. She was originally told that there had to be an order for the equipment and there was none. She was told to possibly try Salvation Army or Goodwill. She went to her supervisor to see if anything else could be done. She checked with Salvation Army, Goodwill and also checked with a local medical equipment company. She didn’t stop trying to do everything she could to help.
Through her efforts the patient received the needed equipment. The caregiver was so grateful and couldn’t say enough nice things about the time and care she provided. What a great example of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence! Well done, Madison! #CHILivingOurMission
