Nurse’s Passion for Teaching Honored with DAISY Award
Congratulations go to Liz Patrico, RN, of Hot Springs on being recognized with the DAISY Award! Liz was nominated by two nursing students who studied under her during their clinical hours at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. Both nominations praised Liz for always taking the time to make sure they were included:
“When taking care of a patient with his wife at the bedside, she found out it was their anniversary. She printed off a coloring sheet that said ‘Happy Anniversary,’ colored it, and got all the staff to sign it. She also does an excellent job in teaching the students. She made me feel welcome and even put my name on the board by her name. She is always open to showing me new things and always has a positive attitude.”
Liz shows us that caring for others isn’t limited to our patients. Her attitude of helpfulness touches everyone she meets, including students. Thank you and congratulations, Liz!
