Patient Calls Gina Cliburn, RN, “Best Healthcare Provider We’ve Ever Encountered”

Congratulations Gina Cliburn, RN, for being named a Service Hero!

Gina is a valve coordinator at the Infirmary and was nominated by a patient’s family member for her excellence.

A patient’s daughter said that Gina helped her mom navigate the process of having a mitral valve clip. The daughter said her mom is 82-year-old and was very anxious about the procedure.

“Gina was always patient and knowledgeable. She walked my mom through everything and made sure she understood before moving on to the next question.”

Gina gave them her phone number and was willing to answer any questions they had. She also visited the patient everyday in the hospital. The patient’s daughter said she was impressed by Gina showing genuine concern for not only her mom’s physical health, but also her emotional well-being.

“She even told us to call her if we have any additional concerns, which is rare once a person is discharged from care.”

The patient’s daughter shared that Gina was courteous and professional. She never rushed their questions or care and explained everything to them in a way they could understand.
