Values in Action Team Plants Humankindness in the Community
The Values in Action teams at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, North and Hot Springs spent Earth Day planting humankindness in their communities.
Infirmary and North planted flowers with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients at Anthem Memory Care.
Good Earth generously donated the soil, compost and flowers.
The residents teamed up with our coworkers to dig, plant, water and enjoyed fellowship together.
“The residents and our coworkers immediately connected. It was magical and good for everyone’s soul,” said Mandy Davis, Community Outreach Coordinator.
Davis said the VIA team is planning to return to the home and do some more gardening.
Hot Springs’ VIA team planted a vegetable garden and flower boxes at The Hope Movement.
“We had a great time planting with the ladies of Hope Movement and we’re excited that they can enjoy fresh veggies from the garden and herbs and flowers in their sitting area. It was a great experience,” said Trish Nicolas, BSN RN.
“Our team strives to serve some of the most vulnerable in our community by putting our values into action,” said Davis.
