Dr. Charles Larrison Named Hot Springs Service Hero

Dr. Charles Larrison, a hospitalist in Hot Springs, was recognized as a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION.

Dr. Larrison was nominated by a patient who was suffering a severe case of boredom while being treated at the hospital.

During his rounds, Dr. Larrison asked the patient how he was feeling. The patient said he was “fairly well physically, but I am bored to death.”

The patient said he tried to call the gift shop looking for some crossword puzzles, but they were closed because of COVID.

“When you came by the next morning, I was shocked beyond belief when you handed me three crossword puzzle books and apologized for not knowing what type I liked. I knew not what to say. I am sure mumbled some kind of thank you, but nowhere near enough to convey what I was feeling.”
