Dr. Radhika Kakarla Named Hot Springs Service Hero

Congratulations Dr. Radhika Kakarla, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Hospitalist, for being named a service hero!

She was nominated for the award by a patient.

The patient said they stayed at the hospital for about a week in April, and it was one of many times they’d spent at the Hot Springs hospital.

They talked about having problems for at least a year and a half and how they had been in and out of the hospital.  On this particular visit they were a patient in the Cardiology Unit. 

“I’ve always had great nurses, but on this particular occasion I had a doctor that went far above and beyond to get to the source of my problem. For me, this physician was a blessing from GOD.”

The patient said Dr. Kakarla’s determination to find a solution was never ending. She discovered that the patient had adrenal insufficiency and put them on the path to being well again. 

“I am doing so much better now and it is all due to her relentless pursuit of discovering what was wrong with me.  I thank GOD every night for sending Dr. Radhika Kakarla to me.  Bless you all and thank you for saving my life!“
