Infirmary Magnet Visit Begins Wednesday
Magnet appraisers will visit patient care areas throughout the Infirmary, beginning Wednesday, April 4. The four-person team will also visit Heart Clinic Arkansas-Kanis and the Endocrinology Clinic before leaving on Friday, April 6.
The purpose of the visit is to “verify, clarify and amplify” the written evidence submitted in June and December.
As part of their visit, appraisers will meet with community members on Wednesday, April 4, from 5:30-6:30pm. The event will be in the Main Auditorium in the Center for Health Education.
Non-nursing coworkers will also have an opportunity to meet the appraisers during an open forum on Thursday, April 5, from 1:30-2:15pm. Coworkers can drop by the St. Vincent de Paul Room to speak with appraisers during this time.
Magnet champions will serve as escorts for the appraisers during their visit. Those champions are Laura Murphy, BSN, RN, 4West; Stacy Pinkett, BSN, RN, ICU; Cherri Wilson, MSN, RN-BC, PMP, Clinical Informatics; Rochelle LaFoon, BSN, RN, Perioperative Services; Kristina Garcia, BSN, RN Radiology; Jackie Cotton, RN, Emergency Department; and Shelia Ratliff, RN, 3 North.
