Infirmary RN Awarded Service Hero for Calming Care in ED

Paige Yates, RN, was recognized as a Service Hero recently for calming a patient who arrived at the emergency department in active labor. Paige used her prior skills in obstetrics to assess the patient and take control of the situation. When the patient ultimately had to be transferred to a different facility, Paige volunteered to ride over with the patient and their family.

Paige’s nominator writes,“Paige has been a wonderful addition to our emergency department since she joined us. She delivers that level of care but is a great example for our newer staff. This is another example of exemplary care that she helps us deliver in the emergency department.”
