Registered Nurse Residency Program Class Largest Yet

When a program works, it grows. Well, the Registered Nurse Residency Program (RNRP) program at the Infirmary must be working, because this year’s class is the largest yet. This year, fifty-two new RN graduates from across the state began the Summer Residency Cohort for CHI Infirmary, North, and Morrilton hospitals. Since 2009, the CHI St. Vincent RN Residency Program has transitioned over 600 nurses from 26 US States and 5 foreign countries.

This group is by far the largest to date representing 12 different colleges and universities. Many of the new graduates will be working at the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute at the north campus. One resident will be working at the Morrilton facility. The remainder of the new graduates have been hired into almost every area of the Infirmary campus, including Labor and Delivery, Behavioral Health, Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, and Cardiac Cath Lab.

We are excited to have these new nurses, and we are ready to invest in their careers. Welcome!
