CHI St. Vincent Supports Local Warming Shelters Ahead of Anticipated Winter Weather

Local meteorologists are predicting winter weather, including extreme cold, to hit Arkansas this weekend. In preparation, several cities are opening warming shelters throughout the state.

CHI St. Vincent is partnering with shelters to ensure Arkansans are taken care of during inclement weather.

Our ministry donated $500 to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church to support their warming shelter. It opens Friday, January 12 at 4pm and will remain open through Wednesday, January 17. Their warming center is located at First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center’s Gym on Central Ave. The gym is located behind the church on Pratt Street and entry to the warming center is on the Woodbine Street side of the building behind the dumpster.

They need volunteers, please sign up here, if you’re interested: https://m.signupgenius.com/?mibextid=Zxz2cZ#!/showSignUp/8050F4EA4AD23A5FD0-47118681-emergency
