CHI St. Vincent Updates Visitation Policy, Effective Nov. 15

The Executive Council of CHI St. Vincent updated our visitation policy applicable to all facilities. Effective Monday, Nov. 15:

Inpatient Units, ICU & Critical Care:

  • Infirmary, North & Morrilton:
    • 2 (two) visitors at a time.
    • There can be up to 2 (two) switch outs, or 3 visitors per day.
    • 1 (one) visitor will be allowed to stay overnight with the exception of COVID-19 patients and ICU/critical care units.
    • Visiting hours for the ICU and critical care units are 6am- 8pm.
  • Hot Springs:
    • 2 (two) visitors at a time will be allowed to visit beginning at 6am and ending at 8pm.
    • At 8pm any visitor not staying overnight will be asked to exit the building.
    • 1 (one) visitor will be allowed to stay overnight with the exception of COVID-19 patients and ICU units.

ICU / Critical Care Visitation Guidelines:

  • No unaccompanied children under 12.
    • Children under 12 visiting parents must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
    • Children under 12 may be restricted in certain situations based on patient condition.
    • No children under 12 in ICU / critical care expect under special circumstances and approval.

Procedural / Surgical areas:

  • 2 (two) visitors may be allowed to accompany the patient for a procedure (MRI, radiology, Cath Lab, X-Ray, Surgery etc.).
  • Visitors with patients receiving procedures will be allowed to wait in the waiting room area during the patient’s procedure. Visitors could be asked to leave the building if we are unable to maintain social distancing in the waiting area due to volumes.
  • If the patient is transferred to an inpatient unit, the visitor will need to follow the rules under the section titled “Visitor Monitoring.”

Emergency Room:

  • 2 (two) visitors at a time may be allowed to accompany the patient coming in to the emergency room.
  • The visitor and patient will be screened upon arrival, hospital screening sticker provided- that must be worn at all times, and a hospital approved mask provided upon entry.
  • Visitors could be asked to leave the building if we are unable to maintain social distancing in the waiting area due to volumes.
  • If the patient is transferred to an inpatient unit, the visitor will need to follow the rules under the section titled “Visitor Monitoring.”
