Dottie Greeson Celebrated as Morrilton Service Hero
Congrats Dottie Greeson, Medical Records, for being recognized as a Morrilton Service Hero!
Dottie was nominated by both a coworker and a patient’s family member for her excellence and compassion.
The coworkers said Dottie got a call from a person claiming to be from a Little Rock Clinic and wanted a patient’s medical records faxed to them immediately. The person stated that the patient was there now and the doctor needed to see the records immediately as it was an emergency.
Dottie requested the patient’s name and date of birth be faxed as documentation. The person argued with her that she didn’t have time to fax anything they needed it now. Dottie tried to explain to her that it was a requirement all offices understood the process. The person hung up on Dottie before she could explain any further.
“This was undoubtedly a fraudulent call. By Dottie having Excellent work ethic and always following processes she prevented a patient’s medical records from getting into the wrong hands.”
A patient’s daughter also nominated Dottie for her work. She lives in Bryant and came to Morrilton to get her mother’s records after her mother passed away.
By the time this woman arrived, Dottie had already left. Someone called Dottie and she was already in Menifee, but out of the goodness of her heart, Dottie came back and got the records needed for the visitor.
The visitor said she didn’t want Dottie to have to drive all the way back to the hospital, but Dottie did it anyway.
“I’m so grateful for Dottie’s compassion and kindness!”
