Dress Up For Halloween (and Follow These Rules When You Do)!
As we approach the end of October, we want to bring a little extra festive spirit to our workplace. We are pleased to announce that employees are invited to wear costumes on October 30th and October 31st!
While we want everyone to have a fun and creative time, it is important that we maintain our professional standards and ensure a comfortable environment for our patients and colleagues. Please keep the following guidelines in mind as you plan your costumes:
- Manager Approval: Please note that your Department Manager or Director is the final authority on whether a costume is appropriate for your specific work area. When in doubt, please clear your costume idea with your supervisor beforehand.
- Patient-Friendly & Non-Threatening: Our primary focus is the comfort of our patients. Please keep costumes friendly and approachable. To ensure a calm environment, we ask that you refrain from wearing costumes depicting skeletons, witches, clowns, or other monster-like characters.
- Professionalism & Modesty: Costumes should be professional in nature. Please avoid anything that is too short, tight, see-through, or suggestive in any way.
- No Face Paint: For the comfort of our patients and to avoid any unintended intimidation, face paint is not permitted.
- Situational Awareness: We work in a dynamic healthcare environment. Please be prepared to remove or change your costume if a situation arises where it is not appropriate for a specific patient interaction or clinical task.
We hope this serves as a fun opportunity to boost morale and celebrate together. Thank you for your continued dedication to providing excellent care, and we look forward to seeing your creativity on display!
