Dr. Stephen Divers Recognized as Service Hero

Congratulations Dr. Stephen Divers, Oncology, for being celebrated as a Hot Springs Service Hero!

Dr. Divers was nominated for the award by his coworkers.

They said Dr. Divers does not make anyone feel inferior and is consistently willing to do what is necessary for the cancer program and patients. Dr. Divers is considered to be a tremendous resource for cancer care and fights to keep screenings and treatment options available for patients all over Arkansas.

“The patients under his care tell us that they love him and even if they are from Mena, they are willing to drive to Hot Springs to see him.”

Not only does he treat patients, but coworkers said he also works as a spokesman and advocate for patients to have access to affordable, high quality cancer care in their communities.

According to the coworker, through Dr. Divers’ oversight, leadership, guidance and knowledge, the cancer program has consistently achieved accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. They said they’re 1 of 4 hospitals in the state to hold this which requires compliance with 32 cancer related standards.
