Hospitals Host Cards & Cans Drive May 18-29

A cards and cans drive will be hosted at each hospital on Monday, May 18 through Friday, May 29.

During that time, coworkers are asked to bring non-perishable food items or gift cards to area grocery stores for no more than $10. Area food banks have reported that gift cards are especially helpful to allow people to buy what they most need.

The food drive is one way CHI St. Vincent is giving back to the community for their generosity during COVID-19.

Coworkers can bring their gift cards and food donations to the following places:

  • Infirmary: Cafeteria and front lobby
  • Hot Springs: Bring food to cafeteria and gift cards to unit managers
  • North: Departments will collect items and bring them to Administration on Friday, May 29, between 11am-1pm
  • Morrilton: Employee Dining Room

During the Infirmary Farmers’ Market on Thursdays, coworkers will have the opportunity to contribute between $1 to $5 toward gift cards. The cash will be collected, and gift cards will be purchased and donated after the market.

Donations from the Infirmary and North will be provided to the Arkansas Foodbank; Hot Springs will send donations to the Jackson House; and Morrilton will provide donations to the Conway Compassion Center.

The following items are most in need by these organizations:

Canned goods (meat, veggies, fruit)
Pasta/pasta sauce
Juice boxes
Peanut butter/Jelly
Biscuit/Baking mixes
Powdered milk
Cereal/cereal bars
Single serve meals (mac-n-cheese, soups, etc.)
