Hot Springs Hosting ‘Value of Palliative Care’ Presentation, Nurses Can Receive 1 Contact Hour

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs will be hosting a presentation called The Value of Palliative Care in which nurses can receive 1.0 contact hour.

This presentation will provide information that can improve the understanding of how palliative care can provide relief from the physical, psychological, social and spiritual stress of a serious illness for patients and their families. There will be discussions on how the interdisciplinary team can work together to provide an extra layer of support.

Dr. Daniel Cartaya will be the presenter. He is an Hospice and Palliative Medicine Specialist with over 22 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. Dr Cartaya is associated with Arkansas Hospice and has privileges at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs.
