Marissa Anaya Recognized with Hot Springs DAISY Award

Congratulations to Marissa Anaya, RN, who was recognized with a Hot Springs DAISY Award.
Marissa was nominated by a patient who noted the many acts of kindness and compassion she was shown throughout her stay.
In one instance, the patient mentioned to Marissa that her bed was uncomfortable. Marissa found another bed, which allowed her to get out of bed easier and with less pain.
“She went above and beyond the entire time she took care of me. Her kindness and compassion put me at ease. She took excellent care of me and she is the best nurse I have ever had. She is an extraordinary nurse and an asset to the hospital.”
The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
