New Nurse Named Service Hero for Bringing Calm to a Busy Night in PACU

Congratulations Blake Perry, RN, for being named a Service Hero!

Blake works in PACU at the Infirmary and is the son of Dr. Bobby Perry, General Surgery.

This new graduate was nominated for the award after being the calm in the midst of a storm on the unit.

The nominator said Blake took charge of a hectic situation with a patient in PACU that required ICU care.

On a busy evening in PACU, Blake handled everything with with grace and diligence. He was with two nurses that were new to PACU and needed guidance. As he was working with them, five patients came out of the OR at the same time. Blake made sure the patients and the nurses all felt comfortable by using all of his resources to assist with questions and concerns.

Thank you Blake for providing excellent care!
