Recognizing Chris Cates as a Service Hero Winner

Congratulations Chris Cates, RN, Patient Care Coordinator, for being chosen as a Hot Springs service hero award winner!

Chris works in the oncology/renal department and was nominated for the award by a coworker.

The coworker said they wanted to express how wonderful Chris has been for them overnights. On two different occasions he gathered supplies to teach others how to perform peritoneal dialysis with patients in the emergency department. They said he has never complained and he was genuinely happy to teach and share his expertise with the department. 

He was also described as always being kind and helpful when someone calls with questions. The coworker even mentioned a night when they were transporting patients and didn’t have a tech available. They said Chris was the first to meet them when they reached their unit and offered help with getting the patient settled, all with a positive attitude!
