Sarah Cogburn Named Service Hero at Hot Springs

Sarah Cogburn, a RN in Hot Springs’s ICU, was named a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION.

Sarah was nominated by the daughter of a patient who passed away during her stay in ICU. The patient’s daughter praised Sarah’s care, especially since the family was unable to be with her due to COVID-19 visitor restrictions.

“Sarah went above and beyond to make sure my mom knew what was going on and she made sure to call me for everything to keep me informed.  During the end-of-life process, she was not the nurse caring for my mom that day, but she came in and checked on her and ended up taking care of her while we were going through this time.

“She was so compassionate, caring and loving to my mom and made sure she was comfortable. I realize this is her job, but I can’t express how above and beyond Sarah went that day.
