- 7 nectarines, thinly sliced (about 8 to 10 slices per nectarine)
- 1/2 fl oz, almond flavored liquer
- 7 Amaretti cookies, processed into fine crumbs
- 5 tbsp. butter, melted
Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place nectarines in an ungreased round baking dish; toss with liqueur. Spread nectarines into an even layer and top with cookie crumbs; drizzle melted butter over top. Bake until fruit bubbles, about 45 to 50 minutes. Allow to cool; serve either warm or cold. Yields 1 slice per serving.
Notes: You can use light butter in this recipe but we like the taste of regular butter better and decided that for 1½ teaspoons of butter per serving, it’s worth using the real thing.
