School Choir Shares Christmas Spirit
As long as it’s not in the middle of October, Christmas carols really help spread the joy of the Christmas season. The Holy Souls Catholic School 6th Grade Choir treated the Infirmary to some of their Christmas spirit with a concert of carols both traditional and contemporary. The children sang a dozen songs to those gathered in the chapel and their angelic voices and musical talents were also broadcast to the patient rooms spreading cheer throughout the hospital.
Their vocal selections included:
- The Little Drummer Boy
- Mary Did You Know
- Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
- Glory (Let There Be Peace)
- In the Bleak of Midwinter,
- Silent Night
- Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
- Jingle Bells
- Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
- What Child is This?
- Away in a Manger
- I Saw Three Ships.
Several of the carols featured vocal soloists and musicians. What a heart-warming and joyous way to spread the joy of the season. Thank you to the 6th grade choir, parents and staff of Our Lady of Holy Souls for sharing your children’s talent with us.
