“10-Star” Service Leads to DAISY Award for North RN

We’re proud to announce that Courtney Lowe, RN, at North has received the prestigious DAISY Award! Courtney was honored after a patient’s family member broke the rating system in heaping praise on her. Here’s what they had to say:

“Courtney has been absolutely amazing in her nursing profession. She has an aura of just the sweetest passion and trust when caring for her patients. My great uncle is 88 years old, and just watching this nurse care for him, doing it all, from meds to personal care, turning him to keep from bed sores, to taking time to answer all the thousands of questions the family has. And making sure it’s the best correct answer and not just something we want to hear. This is my third time in this hospital in the past two years, and everyone has been really great, but this young lady has really made a lasting impression on our family. We give Courtney 10 stars!”

Who are we to argue with a 10-star rating?! Congratulations, Courtney, on this well-deserved achievement, and thank you for making such a lasting impact on our patients.

Remember, nominations for the DAISY Award aren’t limited to patients and their families! If you know of a nurse coworker who deserves recognition, you can nominate them by clicking this link and filling out the form. Make sure to write out exactly what they’ve done that makes them so special!
