CHI St. Vincent Hospitals Earn Top Leapfrog Ratings

Congratulations to our outstanding hospital teams on the latest round of Leapfrog Hospital Safety ratings! Leading the pack is Hot Springs, which scored a “Straight A” rating, while the Infirmary and North both landed “B” ratings. Morrilton is not eligible for Leapfrog ratings because it is a critical access hospital.

Leapfrog releases its ratings in the spring and in the fall, assigning an “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections. Hot Springs received the highest rating Leapfrog gives with a “Straight A,” meaning the hospital has received an “A” for at least five consecutive grading periods.

“CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs deserves recognition for its unwavering focus on protecting patients and delivering safe care, earning an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade for five consecutive cycles,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “Sustaining this level of excellence over time shows a true, organization-wide commitment to making patient safety a top priority every single day.”

All three hospitals have made tremendous improvements on their scores over the past three years. We are both excited and deeply grateful to see the work that all of you do on a daily basis be recognized like this. Congratulations to everyone at CHI St. Vincent!
