New Deli Counter Opens at Infirmary Cafeteria
Two and a half months after the Subway location closed at the Infirmary, the cafeteria today is celebrating the grand opening of its new deli counter. The new feature will be selling sandwiches prepared with freshly cut meats, along with wraps, salads and homemade kettle chips.
The menu category that will likely attract the most attention is the new Signatures Sandwiches lineup. Here’s what will be available starting today:
- CHI Delight – Blackened chicken and avocado
- Turkey and Swiss – Choice of honey roasted or cajun turkey with Swiss cheese
- Veggie Portabella – Portabella mushroom and avocado
- Four Cheese Grilled Cheese – Made with Cheddar, American, Provolone and Swiss
- BLT – Bacon, lettuce and tomato
- Tuna Delight – Tuna salad with lemon, thyme and Thai chili
- The Hogg – Ham, bacon, salami and capicola
- Chicken Pesto – Chicken, Provolone and avocado
- Roast Beef and Cheddar – Choice of roast beef or flank steak
- California Club – Honey roasted turkey, ham, bacon and avocado
- Smokehouse Classic – Brisket and nacho cheese
For those who prefer a basic sandwich, you can get a turkey or ham and cheese with chips and a drink for $10.99. The deli counter is available for employee discount and payroll deduction. Congratulations to Tonya Johnson, Will Blanton and everyone who worked to get this deli space open!
