Add Heat to Your Veggies with Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Try this recipe for Roasted Spicy Brussels Sprouts. A handful of ingredients and about 30 minutes of oven time are all you need to spice up this classic vegetable.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound(s), medium-size uncooked Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. table salt
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 oz. Canadian bacon, diced
  • 1 tbsp. Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 spray cooking spray

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil or coat pan with cooking spray.
  2. Remove any yellow outer leaves from Brussels sprouts; trim ends and slice each one in half.
  3. Place Brussels sprouts, oil, ginger, soy sauce, salt and pepper on prepared pan; toss to combine and roast 15 minutes.
  4. Remove pan from oven and add ham and sriracha; toss to coat. Roast until Brussels sprouts are just tender when pierced with a knife and bacon is just crispy, about 10 minutes.
  5. Serving size: 3/4 cup.
