Hunter Whisenhunt Celebrated as Service Hero
Congratulations Hunter Whisenhunt, PCT, for being named a Hot Springs Service Hero!
Hunter was nominated by three different patients/visitors.
The first visitor said that Hunter took time to interact with his dad when he was extremely confused. He said his dad has dementia and was coming off of anesthesia which made his confusion worse.
“Hunter showed care and compassion in his interactions with my dad and I am grateful for that.”
Another nomination came from a visitor who’s mom was staying at the hospital. The visitor said Hunter has the greatest personality. He had the visitor’s mother laughing and made her feel so comfortable, and it really made a difference in her stay.
“During her stay, it was a very emotional time for us. He added so much to not only the family’s days but, most importantly, to my mother’s. Thank you so much!”
Another patient said Hunter took care of them the day they found out about their surprise surgery. The patient said Hunter was doing his work, noticed their stress and simply asked “can I pray for you?” After the patient agreed with gratitude, Hunter held the patient’s hand and prayed.
“I felt so much relief wash over me when he finished that prayer. I am a nurse myself and a firm believer that God places us where we are supposed to be. This young man was definitely where God needed him on this day. Thank you so much for the prayer and for making this old nurse feel better about being on the other side of healthcare! Thank you for the crown of bravery!”
