Infirmary and North Radiology Departments Deliver Turkeys to LR Compassion Center
Radiology departments at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary and North recently joined forces for their fall food drive!
They gathered donations and money for turkeys to take to the The Little Rock Compassion Center the week of Thanksgiving.
Leadership matched staff efforts with a $1,000 gift to help provide food and shelter to thousands during some of the coldest months of the year.
CHI St. Vincent hospital staff often send patients experiencing homelessness to the center for help.
The Little Rock Compassion Center is the largest emergency shelter in the state. They serve men, women, and children. They serve 3 hot meals a day, offer educational programs, a food pantry, clothing assistance, and thrift stores. They also have several opportunities for people including a residential savings program and drug and alcohol recovery programs. They’re a Christian organization and do have requirements around Bible study and church services.
