Lacey Kennedy Recognized with Hot Springs DAISY Award
Lacey Kennedy, RN, who works in Labor & Delivery in Hot Springs, was recognized with a DAISY Award for the care she provided to a new mother.
The patient praised Lacey, saying she was “beyond blessed” to be in her care.
“She was truly one of the most extraordinary nurses that I have ever had. Not only did she help calm my anxiety during the labor process, but she did such an amazing job at coaching and encouraging me through delivery. I could not have done it without her. I am beyond blessed to have had her as my nurse during the most special moment of my life.”
The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
