Maternal Child / Laboratory Receive Team Service Hero at Hot Springs

Maternal Child and the laboratory at Hot Springs were named Team Service Heros for displaying the values of COMPASSION and EXCELLENCE.

A delivering mother requiring a C-section had complications and the team quickly stabilized them in the operating room. Dr. Jaime Cardenas said the team could not have been more decisive and efficient. He said this patient would have died in most hospitals across AR, but is doing well.

Dr. Cardenas was also very complimentary of the blood bank for a job well done. They were aware of the dire situation for the patient and took it upon themselves to stay ahead on blood products.
