New Mental Health Benefit Coming in the New Year

CommonSpirit Health provides a number of programs and benefits to help coworkers and their families, including access to mental health care.

Starting on January 1, 2023, CommonSpirit is replacing all of the 12 current Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) with the new Lyra mental health benefit.

Lyra connects coworkers, eligible dependents and household members to mental and emotional health care. This care uses technology, proven treatments and a network of top therapists and coaches to connect people to everything from short-term therapy and coaching to mental wellness tools.

Lyra also provides work-life services to help people through personal life obstacles like legal, identity theft, financial and dependent care services.

To help ease the transition, employees who are currently seeing a provider through their EAP, in addition to employees wanting to start care, will be able to schedule and attend sessions through Lyra beginning Dec. 1.

During this transition period, employees will have access to current EAP providers in addition to Lyra providers. Lyra will formally replace all our current EAPs starting Jan. 1, 2023.
